We are constantly looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint. We are proud to use wind energy and solar power energy, use less water in the making of our products, package in glass jars and bottles while using less plastics, and we plant a tree for every product sold. Our sustainability efforts don't end once a package is shipped. We actively encourage the reuse or recycling of our product packaging as well as the shipping materials. Our materials can be reused, recycled through your local recycling centers (if available), or used as composting materials.
You could say we're a bit obsessed with our environment and Earth.
We are dedicated to ensuring we leave our Earth in a better place than when we arrived. We believe in clean air, clean water, clean lands, forest baths, and wellness for all to enjoy it in splendor!
Once our products make their way to you, we do our best to ensure that their end-of-life is as sustainable as their production. In order to guarantee that the entire life cycle of our products and packaging does not compromise the health of our planet, we need your help. Please read below for information on how to keep Akasha Be Well Skincare products and packaging out of our landfills and oceans.
CONTAINER RECYCLING PROGRAM
If you do not wish to reuse our glass containers, we will take them back and reuse or recycle them for you. Here's what to do:
Once you accumulate 3 or more full-size glass containers, you can request a free return shipping label from us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Use the label to ship back any undamaged containers along with their closures (lids, pumps, sprayers, etc.) - once we receive the items, we will email you a gift card for $2 per returned container. To apply your gift card towards a new order, simply enter the gift card at checkout (gift card cannot be combined with any other offer, except for free shipping).
MATERIALS LIFE CYCLE
All our packaging is recyclable, and we use the eco-friendliest shipping materials and product packaging possible. We have provided a guide below listing the eco-friendly attributes of each item you might find in your Akasha Be Well Skincare order.
All non-plastic items listed should be accepted by all curbside recycling programs, as available. The lids/pumps/sprayers/caps on our reusable bottles and jars are made from recyclable plastic, but you may have to check with your local curbside recycling program to see if they accept these types of plastic. The materials and recycling codes for our plastic lids and caps can also be found below. If your local curbside recycling program does not accept any or different types of these plastic types, there are online programs that will take them. A simple online search for "LDPE recycling," for example, can yield some options in your local area.
